Multi-Image Production Services

Multi-image is a unique communications medium that involves multiple projection devices on one or more screens. While great strides have been made in the quality of video production in the past few years, it's still no match for the rich detail and vibrant color of projected 35mm slides, especially in large group settings. When illustration of real life motion is necessary video can easily be incorporated within a multi-image show. The ease with which slides can be replaced also means that presentations may be readily updated to reflect changes in products or personnel.

Ric Johnson first became involved with multi-image production and presentation while atttending Drake University in the late 60s and early 70s. In those days the early audio tone and paper tape programmers made show reliability decidedly "iffy", the range of effects was quite limited, and shows were difficult to precisely synchronize. The progressive infusion of computer technology, first with dedicated systems like AVL's Show Pro V, and now with today's PC based control systems such as the Multivision Systems gear we prefer, have brought multi-image presentations into a new era of sophistication and reliability, while still maintaining a cost of production edge over video. For the last quarter century Ric Johnson has been involved with, and grown with this medium as it evolved. After college (and a few years announcing on a progressive rock radio station) Ric spent 13 years with Midwest Visual Education Service and AV Services, where he was responsible for creating the Production Services division. For the past 15 years Ric Johnson Productions has continued to advance with a history of successful show after show. We have the capability to program utilizing equipment from either Multivision Systems or Audio Visual Laboratories (AVL). Our years of experience mean that we've established relationships with other production service providers and local staging support companies across the US and in Canada and Mexico.
